TEGIWA Roadsports is a mini-endurance series for production sports and saloon cars. Roadsports is designed to offer competitors a great deal of freedom in tuning a performance sports or saloon car, whilst at the same time providing a power to weight framework to ensure the racing remains cost effective. A race event includes a 20 minute qualifying session and a 45 minute endurance race with a mandatory pit stop to enable two competitors to share the race without disadvantage. It is also possible to use this to run two drivers in two cars as a relay.

Based on the 1.6 Sigma engined Mk7 Fiesta Zetec S, the next-generation car will race alongside the current Mk6 ST150 model within a 2-Class structure. This means that owners of Mk6 ST150 spec cars have the security of still being able to enjoy competing in their existing cars until the next-generation Mk7 Zetec S cars eventually supersede them.

To support future junior racers and race teams as strongly as possible in terms of sourcing the correct parts to ensure ease of building next-generation cars, and to help manage and control costs, the club have introduced a “single supplier” initiative for all mandatory and control parts, this to include fully rebuilt and sealed engines. This allows the club to carefully manage build costs on behalf of competitors, and to ensure technical and on-track performance equality of the new cars.

Trackday Championship

A new one-day, two race, entry level contest for the Mk3 Mazda MX-5, producing a great starting point for drivers new to racing an MX-5 SuperCup car with the BRSCC!

The new for 2022 Mazda MX-5 SuperCup Clubman Championship is designed to cater for Mk3 Mazda MX-5 racers who are looking for a lower cost racing option, and without the commitment to be at the circuit for the whole weekend. The format features 12 races spread over 6 single day meetings at some of the best circuits in the UK.

All competitors will race within a single Clubman Class, however there is also an intra-championship Masters title to be fought out between drivers of 45 years or older.

To allow maximum efficiency for race teams and championship management, all SuperCup Clubman Championship meetings will take place at the same circuits and events as the BRSCC’s other Mazda MX-5 championships.


Mazda MX-5 Supercup Clubman Championship

A cost-effective, fun introduction to motorsport without huge financial outlay designed to exhibit driving excellence and car control in the absence of vehicle and technical development

The EnduroKA Series was launched in 2019 to provide a cost-effective, fun introduction to motorsport without huge financial outlay. Cars are readily available, enabling enthusiasts to dip their toes in the sport for the first time and experience real racing on a budget.

Competitors take to the track in a Ford KA Mk1 1300cc (produced between 2002 and 2008) and the series is designed to exhibit driving excellence and car control in the absence of vehicle and technical development.


EnduroKA

Ideal for the novice or serious club racer, F1000 offers a proven and affordable route onto the single-seater ladder from karting. F1000 has established itself as the premier bike-engined, single-seater category in the UK

Since its launch in 1997 the Swallow Hill Homes F1000 Championship (formerly Formula Jedi) has provided exciting, cost-effective racing and has established itself as the premier bike-engined, single-seater category in the UK. Ideal for the novice or serious club racer, F1000 also offers a proven and affordable route onto the single-seater ladder from karting. The founding principle of the formula in 1997 was to create a non-development championship based on economical competition in terms of first cost, running costs and to provide uniform performance. This is truly some of the fastest and most competitive single-seater racing in the country. Using a proven ‘slicks and wings’ racing car with excellent handling characteristics and powered by a 1000cc high performance motorbike engine, you can find yourself going from 0-60mph in just 3 seconds and on to 150mph, while revving to around 14000rpm. Races are 15 minutes each (typically two per event but three at some events) with a 15 minute qualifying session.

Type-R Trophy

A standalone one-day format series that provides the best-value Mazda MX-5 racing in the UK!

Introduced in 2021, the very popular Mazda MX-5 Clubman Championship provides Mk1 Mazda MX-5 racers the opportunity to enjoy competing against each other, however at a lesser cost than the National Championship in terms of overnight stays, tyres, fuel and general car wear and tear.

With a 15-minute qualifying session, followed by 2 x 15-minute races held over a single day, racers can still experience all the fun of MX-5 racing, but without the high level of commitment it takes to race competitively in the National Championship.

The Clubman Championship races are hosted on the same meetings as the National series, so competitors can still enjoy the support of their teams as normal, and also the brilliant camaraderie and welcoming MX-5 paddock.

The Mk1 MX-5 is one of the best small sports cars of all time, and one which provides a true challenge to master for drivers of all experience levels, backgrounds and ages. The relative simplicity of the cars mean they can be prepared from home or maintained by one of several race teams, and they provide a cost-effective way for anyone to compete in a contemporary small open topped sports car.

In addition to overall Clubman Championship honours, a Masters contest is also featured within the series to allow drivers aged 45 and over to fight for their own victories and titles.


Mazda MX-5 Clubman Championship

An exceptional regional Formula Ford contest open to any and all ages and variants of Kent-engined chassis

The British Racing & Sports Car Club is delighted to announce a rebrand and relaunch of the Avon Tyres Northern & Super Classic Formula Ford Championship, which will now be run and known as the Avon Tyres Super Classic Pre ’99 Formula Ford Championship.

One of the longest standing categories in motorsport, Formula Ford has been the ideal proving ground for nurturing young, up and coming talent for more than 50 years and still continues to produce superstars of future today. Lack of aerodynamic aids means drivers learn how to set up and drive a race car purely on mechanical grip, teaching them valuable lessons that will stay with them for the rest of their racing careers.

Following the overwhelming success of the 50th Formula Ford Festival and after consultation and discussions with several Formula Ford drivers in recent weeks, the feedback received was for the BRSCC to cater more to Kent-engined Formula Ford chassis built before 1999, all of which are eligible to compete in one of the four Super Classic classes run in the championship’s pre-existing format. Following this feedback, the BRSCC has elected to make the series formerly known and run as the Northern & Super Classic Formula Ford championship exclusive to all cars that fit within those four Super Classic classes from the 2022 season. Subsequently, this will mean that cars which had previously run in the P Class (built from 1999 onwards) will no longer be eligible to compete.

The provisional calendar for the 2022 season remains unchanged with visits to Oulton Park, Anglesey, Croft and Donington Park on its six-meeting schedule, with the plan to switch the championship to a more nationwide mix of circuits for 2023 and beyond.

The Armed Forces Race Challenge (AFRC) has been developed to bring together four-wheeled motor racers from all across the Armed Forces. The challenge allows a level playing field of competition irrespective of car performance by awarding consistency during races, so the focus remains on the driver rather than the machinery. A race event includes two races of 20 minutes each and a 15 minute qualifying session.

There are two classes divided by power-to-weight at 340bhp/tonne (A) and 270bhp/tonne (B), plus a third class for the MX150R (C). A race event includes two 15 minute sprint races and a 15 minute qualifying session.


Sport Specials

The National Formula Ford Championship features a calendar that visits some of the best motorsport venues up and down the UK, including an annual visit to Kirkistown in Northern Ireland. Circuits that it regularly visits include Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park, Croft and Snetterton.

The championship is split into two categories – the Pro Class and the Clubman Class. Drivers in the Pro Class are typically career-minded and use it as a stepping stone to reach their motorsport aspirations. You’ll usually find young drivers aged between 16-25 here, with the occasional experienced driver that can keep up at the front. The Clubman class provides young rookies a chance to develop their skills away from the high pressure of the Pro class drivers, while also catering to racing enthusiasts who simply want the pleasure of racing a Formula Ford at their own pace.

Along with the main championship, there are also usually additional contests for both the Triple Crown and Tourist Trophy titles. The Triple Crown typically consists of National rounds at Southern-based venues such as Silverstone, Snetterton, Donington Park and/or Brands Hatch, while the Tourist Trophy would comprise of races in England (Croft), Northern Ireland (Kirkistown) and Wales (Anglesey), although this will not be the case for 2021 due to the restrictions on travel. Drivers that compete in these National rounds score points towards both the overall championship and the respective Triple Crown/ Tourist Trophy standings at the same time when these competitions are active.


National Formula Ford Championship

Since the first Formula Mini Se7en race at Brands Hatch in 1966, the Mini 7 Racing Club has remained a favourite for drivers, race commentators and spectators alike.
The cars offer excellent value for money, with plenty of overtaking opportunities and a turn of speed that can surprise and often outpace many modern alternatives.
Four individual race series allow you to prepare a car to best suit your skill and budget. Super-close racing is guaranteed thanks to a carefully developed set of regulations that ensure a level playing field.
Off track, the club has a friendly family atmosphere where everyone is made welcome, from novice drivers just starting out to seasoned professionals.

Silverlake C1 Endurance Series

The humble Fiesta still provides a true proving ground for all-out touring car style saloon car action

The BRSCC Fiesta Championship is a single-make tin-top championship dedicated to various models of the popular and much loved Ford Fiesta, one of the UK’s best-selling small cars of all time, as well as being a staple of British motorsport for more than 30 years.

The cars eligible to compete are primarily the Mk6 Fiesta ST150 with stringent regulations ensuring a fair balance of performance is maintained throughout the season to keep the racing competitive, close and above all else exciting. New for 2021, the championship will also introduce a class for the new-generation Mk7 Fiesta ST180 Turbo to compete to score points for the first time, after the new cars debuted in an Invitation class in 2020 to be developed in a race weekend environment using a variety of test drivers including BTCC stars Paul O’Neill and Josh Cook. This class will be known as the ST240 class to mirror the approximate amount of horsepower these cars will output.

This is a championship with a proven track record of creating some of the biggest and best racing stars from the touring car world, with Ash Sutton, Matt Neal, Gordon Shedden and Colin Turkington all having honed their craft at the wheel of a Fiesta at one stage in their careers. Not only that, but many young drivers have graduated to the series from the Fiesta Junior Championship using the same Mk6 Fiesta ST150 albeit with a couple of minor changes, therefore making it a cost-effective route from the junior ranks into senior-level racing without the need to purchase a new car.

Some of the best paddock atmosphere you’ll find in club motorsport, with regular social occasions at various points in the season allowing teams, drivers, families and sponsors to get together, make friends and most importantly have fun while still maintaining an air of competition.

Clio Sport Championship

Arguably one of the best-supported championships in club motorsport, with big grids and even bigger action.

One of the best-supported single-make championships in UK club motorsport, the Mazda MX-5 Championship provides intense, door-to-door single-make sports car racing.

The series makes use of the Mk1 Mazda MX-5, one of the best small sports cars of all time, and which provides a true challenge to master for drivers of all experience levels, backgrounds and ages. The relative simplicity of the cars mean they can be prepared from home or maintained by one of several race teams, and they provide a cost-effective way for anyone to compete in a contemporary small open-topped sports car.

The MX-5 Championship features an action-packed race weekend featuring a 20-minute qualifying session, followed by 3 x 20-minute races. In addition to the main overall championship honours, a Masters contest is also featured within the series to allow drivers aged 45 and over to fight for their own victories and titles.

As has been the case for numerous seasons, due to the high level of competition delivered by the series, the MX-5 Championship isn’t usually settled until the final weekend of competition, and usually with multiple drivers in contention right down to the final race!

Brilliant camaraderie and welcoming paddock allow any driver to feel welcome and make friends straight away, with regular social gatherings at race weekends, plus a dedicated Awards Dinner at the end of the season.

A new generation of Mazda MX-5 continues in the BRSCC ranks in 2022 as the Mk4 Trophy will once again feature on UK race tracks as part of a new dedicated class in both the BRSCC Clubsport Trophy and the new Mazda MX-5 SuperCup Clubman Championship this season.

The Trophy is designed to be a stepping stone from the MX-5 SuperCup for drivers looking for a new challenge, or for those who are searching for the next level in their racing career with a superb race-ready car to match.

The current generation ND (Mk4) Mazda MX-5 model will be used as the base car, with several engine modifications, uprated suspension and tyres to create an excellent all-round package for drivers to enjoy.

The concept behind the new car is to create a bridge to higher levels of national motorsport such as GT and sportscar racing and to add another level of competition within the BRSCC Mazda paddock.

The CALM All Porsche Trophy Series is designed to offer competitors a great deal of freedom in tuning your Porsche whilst at the same time providing a framework that keeps cars competitive and cost effective. The class structure will be organised on a bhp (at flywheel) per tonne, including the driver. Entries may be by single drivers or two drivers sharing the same car. Great value racing – with the ethos of safe and gentlemanly driving standards. Race events can be sprint, 20, 40 minute or 60 minute races with a mandatory pit stop plus 20 minute qualifying session.

Some of the closest racing in UK motorsport, often with capacity grids. Extermeley affordable. Races are 15 minutes each with a 15 minute qualifying session

The Demon Tweeks | Yokohama Locost Championship offers some of the closest racing in UK motorsport, often with capacity grids. The extremely affordable cars are built to the design set out in Ron Champion’s book 'Build Your Own Sports Car' (ISBN 1-85960-636-9). The BRSCC SuperSport Endurance Cup is a Series open to competitors participating in closed wheel, two-wheel drive, petrol-powered production-based cars and GT sports cars. The Series Organisers dictate that “production-based” means vehicles based on cars with a proven history of being made available for public sale, and which were originally designed for general road use. The Series Organisers dictate that “GT sports cars” include cars that follow the ethos of a road-based sports car, including space framed models such as Ginetta.

To keep costs down for entrants, the use of slick or cut slick tyres is prohibited. Tyres must be chosen from List 1A / 1B / 1C in the Motorsport UK yearbook.

The Class Structure is based on BHP per Tonne. BHP figures will be calculated at the flywheel, and weight calculated by weighing the whole car including all consumables, post-race fluids, and ballast (and without the driver). It should be noted that vehicle weights will be checked under post-session parc ferme conditions.

Welcome to the BRSCC ClubSport Trophy, a multi-class format of production car racing that allows drivers to share race cars ranging from a Porsche Boxster to a Citroen C1 and everything in between a chance to dice it out on track together, in a manner that allows each and every car competing on track a true chance to be competitive and win their class.

For many drivers, getting on track in a cost-effective and competitive nature can sometimes prove difficult, especially when looking for cars and series that allow a wide variety of marques and models to compete.

The structure of the BRSCC ClubSport Trophy will see a 20-minute qualifying session followed by a 45-minute “mini-endurance” race, with a mandatory pitstop and two driver combinations encouraged. With an all-in entry fee per round of just £345 (including series registration and guest membership), that means a two-driver entry could share 65 minutes of track time for just £167.50 each! For competitors already racing at the event in another BRSCC formula, we offer a reduced entry fee of just £295.00

Cars will be separated into one of five classes, all of which will be determined by a car’s power to weight ratio. This is perfect for any driver who races in any of the multitude of saloon, sports and production car-based championships and series, with the majority of marques welcome on the grid. Not only is this ideal for anyone looking to ease their way into the sport using something as simple as a hatchback or small saloon car, but it can also set you up to climb further up the ladder to one of our many popular one-make championships.

After over a year of technical development, the British Racing & Sports Car Club is delighted to release the technical specification and mandatory parts list for the new for 2022 BMW 1 Series SuperCup cars. Based on the popular BMW F20/F21 1.6 N13 engined model, the new car and race series will appeal to drivers attracted to racing in a tightly controlled single make series based on a modern and sophisticated rear wheel drive BMW.

Race cars will be based on 3 or 5 door BMW F20/F21 models. MY 2011-2015 114/116/118\* (pre-facelift) fitted with 6 Speed manual or 8 speed ZF Auto gearbox. (\*although badged as 114/116/118, all models share the same 1.6 litre N13 turbocharged engine, but in different levels of tune)

The car has been developed by working closely with a carefully selected group of top quality technical partners.

BMW Car Club Racing (BMWCCR) is the go-to championship for all club-level BMW racing in the UK. With classes catering for all four-cylinder, six-cylinder and differing levels of M-powered cars (now including turbocharged models), BMWCCR offers huge grids and great value racing, backed by the BMW Car Club GB and running under the 750 Motor Club. A race event includes a race of 20 minutes and a qualifying session of 15 minutes.
 
The regulations allow as many models to compete as possible within classes designed to allow close and clean racing, with the aim to remove many of the barriers for drivers to compete whilst controlling budgets.The BMW Car Club office will be the main point of contact for competitors, supporters and partners, and direct contacts with the coordinators and class representatives will remain available to discuss any questions or concerns.
